More Info On The 1st Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert & Classic Rock History

We are learning more about the first Taylor Hawkins tribute concert that will be held on September 3rd at Wembley Stadium. Brian Johnson, Lars Ulrich, Geezer Butler and Taylor Hawkins’ son Shane have been added to the already star-studded lineup. And Paramount Plus will stream the concert live in its entirety.

In the History of Rock in 1971 – Led Zeppelin kicked off a North American tour in Vancouver, B.C. The band played to a sold-out crowd of over 17,000 fans, another 3,000 fans outside the venue who didn’t have tickets started a battle with local police.

In 1973 – The Doobie Brothers’ “China Grove” was released, it would eventually chart at number 15. The song is based on a real town in Texas with the same name, but nobody knows why they mentioned “samurai swords” which are Japanese, not from China or from Texas.

And in 2019 – The guitar Duane Allman used to play the classic Derek and the Dominos song ‘Layla’ sold for $1million at auction. It was a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop and it was also his main guitar during the first two years of the Allman Brothers Band.
