Keith Richards Teasing New Album From The Rolling Stones & Rock History

Will we get a new album from The Rolling Stones this year? We will if Keith Richards has anything to do with it. The legendary guitarist says he hopes they’ll record new stuff sooner rather than later. A new Rolling Stones album would mark the first full-length release from the band since the 2016’s cover album “Blue & Lonesome”.

In the History of Rock in 1966 – John Lennon’s comment that The Beatles were “more popular than Jesus Christ” was re-printed in an American teen magazine and was widely reported in North America. Thirty-five radio stations banned all Beatles songs and even the Ku Klux Klan made threats against the group.

In 1967 – Pink Floyd released their debut album The Piper At the Gates of Dawn with most songs written by Syd Barrett. The album which was recorded at Abbey Road studios at the same time the Beatles were recording Sgt. Pepper.

And in 1984 – Prince started a 24-week run at the top of the US album charts with Purple Rain. His sixth studio album which features the hits ‘When Doves Cry’ and ‘Let’s Go Crazy’, as well as the title track has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, becoming the seventh best-selling soundtrack album of all time.
