Diamond Dave Releases New Song About Van Halen & Classic Rock History

David Lee Roth has shared a new solo song called, "Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway..." It’s all about Van Halen and a video released features a photo of the classic Van Halen lineup.

In the History of Rock in 1969 – Police in Moscow reported that after a Russian youth magazine told readers how to convert their acoustic guitars to electric, by using parts from a telephone, thousands of public phone booths had been vandalized.

In 1973 – One of the largest Rock festivals of all time is held at Watkins Glen raceway in New York. More than 600,000 attended a one-day show featuring The Grateful Dead, The Band and The Allman Brothers. 150,000 tickets were sold for $10 each, but for all the other people it was a free concert. The crowd was so huge that a large part of the audience was not able to see the stage.

And in 2018 – 76-year-old Paul McCartney returned to the Cavern Club in Liverpool for a two-hour performance in front of 270 fans. During the show he remarked, "All those years ago we came here and played, and we didn't know if we had any future. But we did okay."
