ZZ Top Brings Back Viva Las Vegas Residency & Classic Rock History

Another KZOK artist has announced a Las Vegas residency, ZZ Top will return to The Venetian Resort with five shows in early December. Presale tickets are on sale now, with a general sale scheduled on Friday.

In the History of Rock in 1975 – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played the opening night on their Born To Run Tour at The Palace Theatre, Providence, Rhode Island. This also saw the live debut of Steven Van Zandt as a member of the band.

In 1979 – E.L.O. takes out advertisements in several U.S. magazines dedicating the release of “Don’t Bring Me Down” to NASA’s Skylab project.

And in 2000 – The Evergreen Ballroom in Lacey, Washington was destroyed by a fire. During the ballroom’s heyday many of music’s greats played there: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Duke Ellington, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and more. Glen Campbell had lived in the kitchen at the venue for a while before he became famous.
