Journey has debuted at number one on the Current Rock Chart with their brand-new studio album, “Freedom”. The band celebrated the album’s release by kicking off a residency at the new, Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas.
In the History of Rock in 1969 – The hits just keep on coming for The Rolling Stones. “Honky Tonk Women” is released and becomes the fifth of their eight Billboard number ones.
In 1974 – The Ozark Music Festival was held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. At that point it set a record for crowd attendance at 350,000 people. Acts included Bachman–Turner Overdrive, Blue Oyster Cult, the Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Walsh and Aerosmith.
And in 2010 – Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi settled a long-running legal dispute over the use of the name Black Sabbath.
