Oasis just changed their Facebook picture to one with the brothers together. And we all hoped it would mean a reunion and all the shenanigans that would go with that. Unfortunately, it was just to announce that they would rerelease a remastered limited-edition of their third album, Be Here Now, for its 25th anniversary on August 19th.
In the History of Rock in 1967 – The Who began their first full North American tour at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon, appearing as support band to Herman’s Hermits on 55 dates.
In 1969 – Bob Dylan makes a surprise appearance with The Band at the Mississippi River Rock Festival.
And in 2007 – A pair of glasses worn by former Beatle John Lennon sparked a bidding war after being offered for sale online. The circular sunglasses were worn by Lennon during The Beatles 1966 tour of Japan, where the band played some of their last ever live dates. Anonymous rival bidders had pushed the price as high as almost $900,000.
