A New Eddie Van Halen Documentary Comes Out This Sunday & Rock History

There is a new TV documentary set to premier on REELZ this weekend. ‘Autopsy: The Last Hours of Eddie Van Halen’ will air on Sunday at 5pm.

In the History of Rock in 1956 – Buddy Holly, sees the John Wayne movie ‘The Searchers’ and gains some song writing inspiration when Wayne utters the line “That’ll be the day.”

In 1962 – The Beatles played the last night of a 7-week run at the Star-Club, Hamburg, West Germany. During their residency they would play for four-and-a-half hours on weekdays and six hours on Saturdays, with some songs lasting over 20 minutes to fill out the time.

And in 1977 – The BBC announced a ban on the new Sex Pistols single ‘God Save The Queen’ saying it’s, “in gross bad taste”. The government issued a warning to all radio stations saying playing a single word of the song would be a violation. The single still reached number 2 on the UK chart.
