There’s a new LEGO set that I think you’re going to like, it’s celebrating the Rolling Stones’ 60th anniversary. The 1,998-piece tribute of the band’s iconic tongue and lips logo.
In the History of Rock in 1965 – Speaking of the Rolling Stones, in their Clearwater, Florida hotel room, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards worked out the opening guitar riff of ‘Satisfaction’ following Richard’s purchase of a Gibson fuzz-box earlier that day. The song is considered to be one of the all-time greatest rock songs ever recorded.
In 1967 – Jimi Hendrix plays the Imperial Ballroom in Lancashire, England. Also on the bill, Cat Stevens and Engelbert Humperdink.
And in 1973 – Paul Simon set out on his first tour without partner Art Garfunkel, the tour was recorded and released as 'Live Rhymin'.
