Taylor Hawkins Honored At 64th Annual Grammy Awards & Classic Rock History

Taylor Hawkins was honored during last nights 64th annual Grammy Awards on CBS, with host Trevor Noah acknowledging the recently departed Foo Fighter. A video montage then followed with the band’s hit song “My Hero.”

In the History of Rock in 1964 – The Beatles set a recording industry record that will likely never be equaled. They held the top 5 positions on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Can’t Buy Me Love” at number 1, “Twist and Shout” at number 2, “She Loves You” at number 3, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” at number 4 and “Please Please Me” at number 5.

In 1970 – Crosby Stills Nash & Young went to Number 1 on album chart with Deja Vu. It was the first album after Neil Young joined and featured three Top 40 singles: ‘Teach Your Children’, ‘Our House’ and ‘Woodstock’.

And in 2007 – Rolling Stones’ guitarist Keith Richards had to issue a statement saying that he was joking when he told a magazine that the strangest thing he ever snorted was his father’s ashes.
