Slash Joined By Duff McKagan In Seattle, Alex Lifeson Plays Willy Wonka

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators played the Paramount last night and were joined by Duff McKagan for a cover of Gun N’ Roses’ “Nightrain”.  Along with originals, the band also covered Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and Lenny Kravitz’s “Always on the Run”.

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson is giving away a guitar, and he’s doing it Willy Wonka style. Anyone who purchases the deluxe edition of his debut album, will have a ticket inside to enter to win the Alex Lifeson Standard Signature Les Paul.

In the History of Rock in 1972 – David Bowie appeared in London, on the opening date of his Ziggy Stardust tour playing to around 60 people in the room. The Ziggy Stardust tour played a total of 182 dates.

In 1978 – Van Halen released their self-titled debut studio album.  The album contains some of Van Halen’s most well-known songs, including ‘Runnin’ with the Devil’, ‘Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love’, ‘Jamie's Cryin’', and their cover of The Kinks’ ‘You Really Got Me’. The 1 minute and 42 second Eddie Van Halen instrumental ‘Eruption’ featured on the album is considered one of the best electric guitar solos of all time.

And in 2005 – Who singer Roger Daltrey was awarded the CBE by The Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to the music industry.

Listen to the Danny Bonaduce & Sarah show tomorrow for another chance to win tickets to see The Who Hits Back! at Climate Pledge Arena on October 22nd.
