New: Eddie Vedder Drops Brother the Cloud, Slash Releases Call Off The Dogs

Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder has released a new single entitled “Brother the Cloud.” It comes from his highly anticipated new album, ‘Earthling’, available on February 11th.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators are also sharing a new song off their album due next month. The song is called ‘Call Off The Dogs’.

In the History of Rock in 1963 – Charlie Watts made his live debut as the drummer of The Rolling Stones at The Flamingo Jazz Club, Soho, London. Prior to joining the Stones, Watts played regularly with Blues Incorporated.

In 1966 –David Jones changes his name to David Bowie to avoid confusion with Davy Jones from the Monkees, just in time for the release of his single, “Can’t Help Thinking About Me”. He would later say that he chose “Bowie” because he likes that “big American bear-killin’ knife.”

And in 1978 – The Sex Pistols play their final gig at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The following day, Johnny Rotten quits the band, effectively bringing their brief and tumultuous career to an end.
