Dave Grohl just gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine, revealing that he was in serious contention to join GWAR as a drummer back when he was a teenage drum prodigy living in the suburbs of Washington D.C. He had serious conversations with the band and had even started designing his own costume.
Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has announced he will return to Mandalay Bay’s House Of Blues in Las Vegas for a new series of shows. The shows will kick off with a New Year’s Eve performance, followed by four concerts in January 2022.

In the History of Rock in 1968 – The Beatles had not only their biggest hit, but also the largest selling record of the 1960s when “Hey Jude” reached the top of the US charts. The song, written by Paul McCartney for John’s son Julian, would stay at number one in America for nine weeks and sell over eight million copies.
In 1972 – David Bowie’s most important concert of the 1st US Ziggy Stardust Tour was his debut at New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall was where The Beatles had performed two concerts in February 1964 and for Bowie this was to be his third concert in the US, after two earlier warm-up concerts in Cleveland and Memphis.
And in 2005 – A Mick Jagger impersonator spent over an hour accepting free drinks and enjoying VIP perks at a New York night spot. Club officials only realized that the man wasn’t Jagger after looking at a photo of the Rolling Stones’ front man and noticing that the unnamed imposter was younger and heavier than Jagger.
