8-19-21 Classic Rock Update

New music from the Rolling Stones. We are World Premiering "Living in the Heart of Love," every two hours. It’s the first song released from their upcoming 40th-anniversary edition of Tattoo You. The previously unreleased track is one of nine unheard cuts on the deluxe package's "Lost & Found" disc.

The expanded set also includes the 26-track live album Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982. Released in August 1981, Tattoo You was largely made up of studio outtakes recorded by the Stones during the '70s, with updated vocals and instrumental parts added to complete the songs. The album — which boasts classics like “Start Me Up,” “Neighbours” and “Waiting on a Friend” — went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the U.S.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have released a funny teaser video announcing Rush Canadian Golden Ale, it’s a new collaboration with Toronto-based Henderson Brewing. Henderson used all Canadian ingredients to make the new Rush-themed ale, which is set to arrive on August 30th.

In the History of Rock in 1963 – Peter, Paul And Mary perform, “Blowin' In The Wind” for civil rights marchers in Washington D.C., who had gathered to hear Martin Luther King Jr. speak.

Canada went a little wild today. In 1971 – Led Zeppelin kicked off a North American tour at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada. The band played to a sold-out crowd of over 17,000 fans, another 3,000 fans outside the venue who didn’t have tickets started a battle with local police.

And in 1980 – After Alice Cooper cancels a Toronto show because of illness 1,400 entertainment-starved ticket-holders rioted.
