Deputies were lead on a chase by a Walmart thief who tried to get away with stolen items while riding a disabled person's shopping cart scooter.

On foot deputies caught up to the stolen electric scooter, which was moving at 2 mph, and now Troyson Raymond, is now facing charges of felony petty theft, grand theft and unlawful possession of a shopping cart,
"Deputies pursued Troy as he attempted his getaway on a stolen electric Walmart scooter," the sheriff's office stated. "Troy hit speeds of about 2mph on the scooter before deputies caught up to him. Not exactly a high speed chase."
When the officers caught Raymond, they found jewelry and handheld game systems, which totaled to $167. Taking the scooter, however was the big haul, as it is worth $1,325.
When asked why he stole, Troy replied,
'That was stupid of me'
