It's hard to go wrong with any beer from Fremont Brewing. And if you can catch a day with the sun out, the beer garden is spectacular. Even more so when there is an oyster popup! Salish Seafood had a pop up oysters bar, and I can't say no to oysters OR beer. So off to Fremont we go. I hadn't tried their new permanent beer called Blue yet. When I saw the color I thought they'd brought back the UniversAle, but alas they haven't. Blue is Pale Ale, 5.5% ABV. It's lighter and not too hoppy. Crisp and easy drinking. The hop flavor is more subdued. This is a solid beer, but maybe one day they'll bring back my fav UniversAle. Can't forget to mention the oysters. AMAZING!! So fresh.
