Comparing Queen's Live Aid performance to Bohemian Rhapsody

Voted the greatest live performance in the history of rock, Queen's 21 minute performance at Live Aid on July 13, 1985 began at 6:41pm. Freddy Mercury's sustained note during the a cappella section came to be known as "The Note Heard Around the World."

Queen's setlist was:

Bohemian Rhapsody (a shortened version)

Radio Ga Ga

Hammer to Fall

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

We Will Rock You

We Are the Champions

David Bowie had to follow their performance. At the time of the concert, Queen's Greatest Hits album was three years old. It rose 55 places and into the Top 20 shortly after.

The entire performance was recreated for the 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody with Rami Malek portraying Freddie Mercury. The following is a side by side showcase of the entire Live Aid performance with the film's recreation.
