If you have not had a beer yet from Modern Times...why not? They are making fantastic brew. They are out of San Diego, and brew a wide variety of styles, of which I have had many. Many places have it on tap, or you'll find it in a 16oz 4 pack. Amber, IPA, Stout, Gose, and that's just naming a few of the styles. Once again, I fell for a pretty can. Pink and green, like an preppy man's pants on Martha's Vineyard. Fraxos IPA from Modern Times is more than just a pretty face. Simcoe, Citra and Centennial give this beer its hoppy backbone. To put it simply...this beer is simply delicious. It's still malty, not too bitter, 50 IBU. It is buzz worthy at 7.2% ABV. My only Modern Times regret is not visiting them the last time I was in San Diego. Looks like a return trip to the brewery and to a Petco Park is in order. Yep, their beer is THAT good.
