Anacortes Couple Making Prosthetic Hands Out of Beach Plastic

posted by Amanda J -

The Million Waves Project Is a local non-profit from the small northwest town of Anacortes Washington run by Chris Moriarity and Laura Moriarity. They came up with the revolutionary idea of taking plastic off their beaches and out of our oceans and turning them into prosthetic hands via 3D printer.

With just 15 plastic bottles and 45 dollars they can build one prosthetic hand.

You can read about it at King 5, and if you want to donate or learn more about the process you can go to The Million Waves Project website HERE
